They are our kin, and we have much to share, and much to gain, for their gain enriches us all as indigenous peoples.

The Buffalo Trust supports the efforts of indigenous peoples in the circumpolar North to develop and sustain their communities.

As an expression of kinship between indigenous peoples, the Buffalo Trust has collaborated with various organizations such as the First Nations Development Institute, the Yuganskiy Khanty Community, and Circumpolar Network, in producing and disseminating materials to empower these Native communities to protect their lands as an essential component of their cultures. These communities share an uncertain future similar to Native Americans. We feel that it is important to share our experiences in areas such as political upheavals, economic depressions, the pollution of the environment, and deterioration of cultural identity.
